March 2006 was the closing date for clubs to host this years 2006 USA Beach Wrestling Championships and to date the winning venue has not been announced for the championships to be held in August 18 -19 2006.If you often go to a wrestling club to keep fit try some sun and surf in the summer as this sport is really taking off. Many clubs are now including some alternate wrestling styles and encourage their members to try alternate wrestling regimes.If you just want to keep fit but are not interested in formal wrestling bouts start your own group and set your own rules, even have mixed bouts for a fun easy way to keep fit in the summer.Let your imagination run riot and create some innovative new beach wrestling scenarios. Pushing in rubber dinghies ? chicken fighting ? even pillow fighting but please use synthetic pillows unless you want to be well feathered.
But do remember if you include the girls don't get too carried way with rules because they probably won't remember them and if they do well rules were made to be broken.
